Mousehole, renowned for its history in the Art world, is a beautiful ancient fishing village steeped in character and charm that has mainly
remained unspoilt for centuries, with its narrow streets and cobbled lanes surrounding the picturesque harbour, it offers two small sandy
beaches and a larger pebbled beach with rock pools just waiting to be explored!
Enjoy the serene harbour at sunset as the small fleet of fishing boats return home
Particularly magical at Christmas with its famous Christmas lights, it attracts visitors from miles around to enjoy the spectacular display and soak up the atmosphere.
The village hosts numerous art galleries, potteries, excellent restaurants, pubs and a village shop & post office.
There is a regular bus service, a scenic cycle path and has some of the most incredible & inspiring cliff walks nearby. It is just 2 miles from the larger & popular working fishing village of Newlyn, 3 miles west of the market town of Penzance, and just a short drive to Land’s End, Porthcurno (home to the famous Minack Theatre), Sennen (superb surf!!), Marazion and St Ives to name but a few
About Cobbles Loft:
A double fronted granite stone cottage that has been tastefully & cleverly renovated In recent years to provide two cottage apartments.
Cobbles Loft is situated on the first floor and offers a very stylish, light & airy two bedroom accommodation.
The front door from the courtyard leads to a hallway and stairs to the first floor leading to a bright and airy living space incorporating:
Lounge area: Triple aspect window flooding the room with light, overlooking the sunny cobbled courtyard area. Large, contemporary leather corner sofa, coffee table, lamp, 42” flat screen TV with Freeview & a DVD Player.
Dining area: Contemporary table & chairs, beautiful shaker style welsh dresser storing books, games and DVDs to enjoy during your stay.
Kitchen Area: Stylish gloss fronted cupboards compliment the contemporary feel of the cottage apartment. Ample work surface and fully equipped to include an electric oven & hob, microwave, toaster, coffee maker & kettle along with a good provision of pots, pans utensils etc. to cater for your self-catering needs.
There is also a washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board.
From the living area, two steps lead up to a hallway with doors to the bedrooms & bathroom:
Bedroom one: A wonderful bright and spacious room that is beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished. A large picture window overlooking the front aspect, Double bed with a bedside table and lamp either side, a retro style DAB radio / alarm clock, contemporary wardrobes and a large mirror.
Bedroom two: Another light and airy, wonderfully presented and tastefully furnished room with a large picture window enjoying the front aspect. Full sized bunk beds (with the bottom bunk being a double therefore it is possible to sleep a fifth person) and a double wardrobe with drawer.
Bathroom: Spacious & stylish, incorporating a full sized bath with an electric shower over, basin, wooden cabinet with mirror and a toilet.
Outside: A pretty open courtyard area enjoying a good level of sun with table & chairs
Please note, the courtyard is an open area, shared with next door and looks on to the neighbouring courtyards, however it is well away from the main road and private to the lovely cluster of quaint cottages within the area. From here, you can also walk down through the cobbled lane to the road that leads to the harbour making it an ideal place for young families.
Parking & Car parks: It is possible to stop near the property briefly to load / unload.
There is free unrestricted roadside parking along the main road (seaward side) leading in to Mousehole. There are also three car parks within Mousehole, two of which are situated on either side of the Harbour and the third is situated on your left hand side as you drive in to the centre of Mousehole; approx. 25 yards before The Coastguards Hotel. Car Parks charge approx. £3 per day however, we have been reliably informed that if you smile nicely, the parking attendant will also issue a weekly permit 🙂

May not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties due to the stairs leading to the living area.
Ideally suited to 4 + baby but can sleep a further person as the bottom bunk (in the second bedroom) is a double bed – fifth person is charged at an additional £50 per week / short break

Cobbles Loft 2017 rental information
Changeover is generally a Saturday but it is possible to be flexible subject to availability / time of year.
Short Breaks welcome and are charged at: 3 nights @ 80% weekly rental & 4 nights @ 90% unless otherwise stated.
Mousehole Christmas Lights short break specials between:
15 – 22 December 2016 – £325 for 3 nights & £395 for 4 night
14 – 23 December 2017 – £325 for 3 nights & £395 for 4 nights
The rental is inclusive of all utilities, bedding, bed linen and towels – except beach towels.
Travel cot available on request- please provide you own bedding
